Senior Kennedi Silmon is headed to state, she placed 2nd in the 110 hurdles this past weekend in the 4A Regional Track Meet.  Silmon will represent Regional 4 in the State Track Meet on May 6 in Austin.

It’s such q nerve-wrecking experience that I’ve worked my entire high-school career for, and I’m confident that I will bring home a medal.

says Silmon.

Congratulations also to the Lady Bear’s Relay team (4X100/4X200) for their exceptional performance in the track meet as well; hats off to Coach Venita Tryon and her awesome coaching staff (Chardae Tryon, Sara Meador, Marisa Reyes, Brad Smithey) for their work this season.

I’m excited, and I know that she is ecstatic. She has definitely put in the work to earn a chance to compete at the state meet.

Says Kennedi’s hurdle coach Brad Smithey.
