The tennis at WOHS is sometimes under the radar.   Freshman Aracely Salinas, 9,  is changing that narrative. Salinas only a freshman has been undefeated in girls singles for the past 5 meets, and she doesn’t plan on stopping soon. She has been practicing non-stop while also juggling school and home life.  She is the first female tennis athlete to qualify for Regionals.  She will go into the tournament with a record of 38-0 for the Spring Season.

“I just hope that people will recognize the hard work that the team and I put in, in order to get this far,”

said Salinas.

Salinas will be competing at the HEB Tennis Center this weekend at the regional tournament.
